Name: Sue Burkel
Age: 32
Occupation: child minder
Description: ‘leasantly round’ as her husband calls her. She’s more than often got her hair tied up in a bun, and wearing scruffy house clothes. She doesn’t go out much these days, so seeing her ‘done up’ is more than just rear. She has darkened blond hair, and it’s never neat. Her eyes are hazel/green, and she wears squared glasses. Moderate height. She has a very warm smile, and is big chested, but not overly so due to her size.
Special attributes: always gives out helpful advice
Personality: very kind, perhaps the kindest person you could ever meet. She’s not Christian, but if you’ve ever met those types how just radiate warmly-ness and seem to feel as though everyday is a new blessing – she’s very much like that. But not in a sickly way, in a nice, refreshing way. She’s the type of person you wouldn’t feel uncomfortable confiding in. very chatty.
Affiliated with?: mostly Blake’s mother.
Background/Past: nothing terribly deep. She trained to be a teacher, but never did, as she married fairly young. Had a hysterectomy due to cancer when she was 27
Parents/Family life: unable to have children of her own. Husband - Mike

Name: Mike Burkel
Age: 30
Occupation: hospital doctor – mostly works in the ER
Description: tall and thin. He would look terribly weedy if it weren’t for his pleasantly handsome face. Moves politely and delicately – he looks as though he couldn’t hurt a soul.
Special attributes: very clever and kind
Personality:doesn’t talk much. He smiles a lot and seems like he ‘does as he’s told’ as far as his relasionship goes with Sue, however, he’s simply a quiet man, and is content in going about his day seeing other people’s smiles.
Affiliated with?: again, Blake’s mam, but knows Cain from his frequent visits to the ER? (es no? I don’t know if that’s right )
Background/Past: very straight life. Graduated from college and went straight to do his medical degree.
Parents/Family life: 2 brothers, both older than him and both more successful in the medical business than their younger.


Name: Jessy
Age: unknown – though to be 19
Occupation: unknown
Description: well toned and generally ‘killer’ figure. Brown hair and dark eyes – pale skin, always looks tired/high, but always exceptionally good looking. Always smoking.
Special attributes: seems to know a lot about life’s experiences
Personality: mysterious. She doesn’t ever talk down to the kids, the only people she speaks badly to are those who deserve it, i.e. bullies/perves.
Affiliated with?: the kids. She’s kinda a ‘chef’ character, in that they can ask her questions and stuff and she’ll always be straight with them (like about certain feelings they may b having towards certain people they shouldn’t be? XD)
School?: none – her previous education is unknown
Background/Past: othing is known about her… she appears from time to time – sometimes with different guys, sometimes with girls? Always older though. She likes the kids because they don’t treat her like trash like the rest of the town

Name: Jake
Age: 29
Occupation: builder
Description: well-built and moderate high. He has a mullet! (yes indeedy) and a big grin. He also has remarkably big hands o.O blondy-brown hair, and green eyes.
Special attributes: none
Personality: he’s like a big bare. He’s not terribly intellectual, but he’s not a dim-whit either. He’s also very enthusiastic about many things.
Affiliated with?: Blake’s mam – it’s love at first sight.
Background/Past: not relevant – lived in the town his whole life.
Parents/Family life: 2 brothers, he’s the middle child

First encounters:
Sue: Trisha has been given the address of the main child-minder in the town. She probably feels Blake’s a little old for child minding, but never the less, feels it’s important to make contacts in her new town. She goes direct to the house because it’s near by the school, but when Sue answers the door, she’s swarmed with manic children aged 3-6 all running around, and Sue’s holding a young girl who Trish takes to be her own child. Instantly Sue offers Trisha in for a cup of tea, and doesn’t take no for an answer. They have a little chat and Trisha’s invited over for tea some time.

Mike: he answers the door when Trisha goes round for tea, the meal reminds Trisha of the ones her grandmother used to bake (or some fond early memory, perhaps a friends mother). Sue chats a lot about the town, and points out a few people she should definitely contact, and a few people she should try and avoid if necessary.

Jessy:
Blake: he’s had an argument with his mam about his old friend’s etc., and he runs out the house. He’s cursing that ‘stupid’ town, and kicking rocks into a river when he hears Jessy’s voice ‘gee, something’s sure pissed you off’. He’s a little scared of the strange, barely dressed lady, but something strikes her as friendly, so they have a little chat. It ends with a guy on a motor bike calling her over, and she pets him on the head saying ‘see yeah’. However, he hasn’t even learnt her name thus far.
Angelique: can she have an older brother (as in, MUCH older) who used to date Jessy – simply so that Blake can learn her name. There’s no real cause for Angelique to know her I don’t think, but if you want her to chat with her then… I think that should be the way she knows her.
Cain: I would think she generally pisses him off. I can see her commenting on something he’s doing, and making him feel a little stupid, thus, him hating her. She, however, has no strong feelings either way.

Jake: He’s called in to do some look over some problems in their new house. After he’s had a look around, Trisha offers him a cup of tea out of curtsy, to which he says yes, very quickly, and plonks himself down at the table. He then starts talking a lot about the history of the house, and how good the foundations are and stuff. He then ends up talking too much, and then as he’s leaving, he carries on talking about how he can help her out with anything, and he’s not just good with buildings either, he can help with the pluming and electrician ect.
On first encounter, I think she’s not too impressed.
